Since opening our Scottish office in 2014 ASKAMS’ presence has gone from strength to strength; our client base has grown and the company provides services from the Scottish Highlands to the Borders.

Leslyn McKenzie joined ASKAMS as our new Scottish Operations Manager at the start of February after working within the asbestos industry for over 13 years. Starting as a trainee it has provided Leslyn with the relevant practical skills and knowledge to provide our new and existing clients with a professional service; synonymous with the company brand.

Speaking to Leslyn about the appointment she has said:

“I’ve applied for this vacancy because it’s an excellent match for my skills and experience – and because it represents a challenge which I know I’ll relish. I already have the relative experience as a Senior Consultant in the industry, including previous experience of project management. I enjoy managing multiple projects and also enjoy overseeing and coaching junior surveyors and analysts.

I’m used to dealing directly with clients; developing productive working relationships with clients is definitely one of my strengths. I am enjoying the role so far and I am confident I will be able to make a major contribution within the Scottish region.”

The new role will involve Leslyn overseeing and managing not only the day-to- day operation of the Scottish technical field team but also maximising utilisation and developing new business opportunities. Through good client management and networking Leslyn will continue to grow the office whilst developing the existing team; creating a culture of staff engagement.
